The governor seems to have become a bitter, desperate person, insulting and pissing off everyone in his presence. This was surely a bad time, in front of the congressional delegation to express his disgruntled thoughts. How much more hopeless and vindictive can he get? The women he insulted with his off the cuff remarks don't even want to talk about it, wow, that should put him in their good graces. Here are some of his stupid comments.... GOVERNOR Benigno R. Fitial yesterday said the alien workers who held a rally in support of federalization are “illegals” whom he will deport. The governor made the statement after Congressman Eli Faleomavaega, D-American Samoa, asked how the CNMI government intends to handle the alien workers he saw outside the Guma Hustisia on his way to yesterday’s hearing on the federalization bill. “They are illegals,” said the governor. “We’re processing them and they will soon be deported. They deliberately destroyed their passports.” Congresswoman Madeleine Bordallo, D-Guam, said they spoke with the governor on the issue but “I can’t really comment on what the governor said (about the workers who held the rally.) But…if they are illegals how can they hold an open protest?,” she said. “But this is one part of this whole operation that must be looked at very carefully. And you’ve had so many problems over the years,” she added. Congresswoman Donna Christensen, was also surprised at the governor’s statement. “I prefer not to comment,” she said when asked about the subject. Way to go guv. A hero again. The whole story CLICK HERE .. I just can't understand this behavior but the guy must be really depressed, there should be someone to take over and end this childishness... These statements have been the most powerful of all things said and done today for confirming the need of federal control over labor and immigration, negating all of his blubbering against it.....
( As predicted in post #487.) Enough already. ....GED......

the governor made those comments in jest. it may have been an inappropriate joke but it was still a joke. if you view the testimony you will see this. it may not seem like the right place the make jokes but there were a number of humorous comments made by both the panel and the codel.
Wasn't funny to most. Especially the people it was ment for. Very poor judgment for that 'humor' at that place, time and audience. I, myself don't believe it was a joke it only confirms the bitter attitude this man has as he feels he is losing his ability to controll everything on his own. Limits his power to steal and cheat, the norm of previous governments. Somewhere he has a personal agenda where he is expecting a payoff and he is loseing it. No, wasn't a joke.
