STUDENT RESEARCH SHOWS THE POWER PROBLEM (HIGH UTILITY RATES) IS THE MAIN CAUSE OF DISTRESS ON THESE ISLANDSYet the governor says, "Its the wage hikes that were forced on the business community that will bring it down to it's knees, he never said it was the power rates, could all these student's be wrong? This is the very same guy that thinks if he can stave off federalization all will be saved, no problems here, yeah, got ya. Retain the status-quo and all is great.. Here are the students findings......STUDENTS of Northern Marianas College on Monday presented a study indicating the need to resolve the high utility cost before more people and businesses leave the islands.
Based on the answers of 200 survey respondents consisting of 158 residents and 42 nonresidents, the study shows that there are four major reactions to the rise of power costs: people are leaving the island, businesses are closing down, investors are being turned away, and people are changing their lifestyles. And all along the governor told it was going to be because of the wage hikes. Is there chance he was wrong? No, you gotta be kidding, no, not this astute professional business man, our number one leader, he couldn't be wrong, could he? Or was it bullshit, all along it was bullshit, that's what it was, damn there ya go. Nah, its the wage hikes that's what he said!
The study stated that the anticipated long-term impact of the utility problem includes reduced enrollment in private schools which means that public schools will have to accommodate more students. This is also caused by the wage hikes, right? More tuition hikes are to be expected and the power cost issue may also lead to serious problems in the hospital and government agencies. The students said the high utility cost is the main reason for rampant theft of electricity. Also caused by the wage hikes. Students also interviewed businesses on island who said they were struggling to survive because of high utility rates. Wait a minute, we were told the wage hikes were the problem, yup, straight from our own governor, it's the wage hikes, dummy, never did we hear him say power rates were the problem.
NOWHERE IN THIS WHOLE RESEARCH SURVEY ( the blue) DID I SEE THE WORDS ..ITS THE WAGE HIKES, DID YOU? Now I wonder just what is the disconnect between the problems our governor claims to be the fault and the actual real problems. Got any clue?
