A yearly Good Friday/Easter tradition is carrying and erecting a wooden cross in the manner Christ had carried the cross to his crucifixion.
ANNUAL RITE: A group of men carry the wooden cross during the procession to the peak of Mt. Tapochao on Good Friday morning. As has become an annual rite, hundreds of people flocked to Mt. Tapochao on Good Friday for the planting of the cross that devotees carry from the foot of the mountain all the way to the mountain's peak.
The cross has been erected and is now standing for all the people to view. Job complete and we all say........Amen....... ........GED........
