173- CNMI TOURISM MONTH

MAY IS TOURISM MONTH IN THE CNMI.........BUT DON'T FORGET THE FLAME TREE FESTIVAL ...APRIL 26th, 27th, and 28th.
A few of the local happenings about to take place in May. Read on..........
May is just around the corner and the Marianas Visitors Authority has a month full of activities planned for Tourism Month.
This year's theme is “Tourism is Everybody's Business.”
“Once again we are looking forward to an exciting Tourism Month,” said MVA managing director Perry Tenorio. “These events bring both the tourists and locals together while we showcase the uniqueness of the Mariana Islands.”
The Taste of the Marianas International Food Festival & Beer Garden will be held at the American Memorial Park from 6pm to 10pm every Saturday night beginning May 5 and ending on May 26........ The Ayuda Fun Run will take place on Saipan May 5, 2007 and on Tinian May 26, 2007. The run starts at 6am. Participants may pre-register for $10 at the MVA office prior to the event or pay a $15 registration fee on day of the event........
Wear Red Day will take place every Friday in May. Everyone in the community, especially tourism industry partners, are asked to show their support for the CNMI's most viable industry by wearing red every Friday for the month of May to emphasize the importance of tourism for all of us.....
