BIRD ISLAND HOME TO THE TERNS, NODDIES AND MANY OTHER SPECIES
This is a sea bird sanctuary off of Saipan. You can wade out to Bird Island (~150 yards) from the beach just to the north. Called Isleta Maigo Fahang - 'island of sleeping seabirds' by the locals, Bird Island is a small stone islet standing on a coral reef. The beautiful birds that flock there call this little rock home. This little rock is located near the "Grotto" a favorite dive spot... See it on your visit to Saipan. ..........GED.........
