648- CHANGE THE MUSIC!

TO MCV TV:... THERE MUST BE SOMETHING DONE ABOUT THAT MUSIC .. STOP IT!!
Do you watch Sports on MCV? Do you hear the awful music that plays over and over, the terrible crap that plays in place of commercials? Monotonous
Suggestions:

Beatles, Grateful Dead, Led Zeppelin, Allman Brothers, any old time rock and roll for that matter, or at the very least some real music, but please stop what you are playing, its driving me nuts!
Does this 'music' drive you crazy too? Let me know...Something must be done!
If you would like to have the music changed, add a comment and your name. I will forward this to MCV.
Or click on here-> 'POLL' <-and choose an answer...

Hafa Adai,

We use basic music called "Music Bed" which is free music that can be used for purposes like this. If were were to use some Led Zep we would get in trouble with copywrite laws. Furthermore, you will not see (hear) any commericals run on MCV that have Music that might be considered copywrite. We could also get in trouble for just running the spot. We have had other music in the past (the drumbeat was especially unpopular so we removed it), but most of the music is like something you hear now.

Well Mark:
Thanks for your response.. Are you telling me that you can't play good music? You can't play Beatles music? Then you need to get off the air. We are your customers, and we want some good music, not excuses as to why you can't play it. Can you play a radio station like channel 7 does?
I am not the only person to think this.. So Mark this is not to intimidate you but just a call for some better music... Thank you,

Please, Please, change the music. Theme from Jeopardy would't be too horrible. At least, get the guy in the chair to change the tape every few days. It isn't like they are spending much time keeping the tracking in line. Week after week, month after month is too much of any one song. Mark Scease
