Incumbent candidates for the Legislature are reportedly boycotting the election forums being organized by the Saipan Chamber of Commerce, stung by a letter sent by Chamber president Juan T. Guerrero scoring the lawmakers for their action to lower power rates for residential customers.
'If you can't take the heat':
Saipan Chamber of Commerce president Juan T. Guerrero said he had heard that candidates from Precinct 3 would abstain or boycott their scheduled forum tonight. Precinct 3 candidates, especially those serving in the current Legislature, reportedly did not like what the Chamber president had written in the newspapers about the group's disappointment over the lawmakers' action to override the governor's veto on House Bill 15-246. The legislative action resulted in lower power rates for residential users.

Glen, you're too funny bro. I'm in D3, eight candidates running for six seats and after Waki, the choice is incumbents, a re-tread and two guys that I don't know. I'll be there tonight but I'm already wondering why I registered to vote....it just doesn't seem to matter, the ridiculousness of the system and those running it is just too intense.
