967- NEED A CAMERA

IF YOUR LOOKING FOR A DIGITAL CAMERA
I ordered a digital camera from Wal-Mart that was shipped Dec, 26th I just got it today.
Now here is the rest of the story.
After waiting 4 weeks I told them I didn't recieve the camera. They told me to wait 2 more weeks, which I did. At the end of 6 weeks I told them I still didn't get the camera so they told me they will credit my account, which they did. I told them don't credit my account, just send another one. They replied, We have already credited your account, if you still want the camera order another one, which I did. Now I have the first one and a 2nd one on the way, by express mail. I can easily send the second one back, no problem. What I thought if there is anyone looking for a camera I will sell you this one and not return it. It will still be in the shipping box. So if you are looking for one, this is what it is: Canon 7.1 MP PowerShot A560 Digital Camera w/ 4x Optical Zoom & Face Detection Don't feel pressured I can return it. My total cost is $150.00. I sprung for an extra $10.00 for express mail to avoid the 8 week shipping... If you are interested click on the blue lettering above for detailed specifications... PS I've been playing with mine all afternoon, great little package, nice pics.

This has happened to us several times. Walmart used to send a replacement.. so we'd get two of everything. They stopped that. Now they just credit your account, or refund your card. Either way, you end up with free stuff. The down-side is.. they've gone from getting stuff to you in about a week to your shipment arriving two or three months after you've ordered it.

It would be great if they did that but they will probably charge the card again.. I'm not looking to make any profit just give someone a quick shipped camera if they are looking.

We weren't looking to profit either. In fact we said that if the items arrived here in a month or so.. we'd return the item or inform Walmart of the duplication. Seeing that the items have taken three months or more however.. we accepted them as a "late charge".

They don't deduct from your card. If they've credited you, or you've received two items, due to non-arrival or late arrival of the first order.. they simply eat the cost.

Your offer is a good one; hope someone takes you up on it. Wal-Mart is notorious for long shipping times on most orders. I ordered 4 times from them way before Christmas and got two of the orders in about 8 or 9 days and the rest tooks weeks. I ordered 4 digital cameras for grandkids well before Christmas from Circuit City and they arrived long after Christmas. I have learned the hard way that we must fork over the extra for expedited shipping costs if we want something by a specific time. My very favorite site is Barnes and Noble, as I get my shipments in 7-10 days all the time. And they are shipped free if the order is more than $25. And, they frequently have special coupons for 25-40 percent off one item which I take advantage of. I get these via a newsletter I signed up for from them. Of course, B&N only has books, dvds, cds, and toys basically. Amazon is good on shipping but they do not ship many things to us out here, like electronics, kitchen stuff, foodstuffs, etc. They do not ship free to us but do ship free on many items to those lucky ones in the states if the order is over $25. I could go on an on about the hardships of getting things via the internet sent here. It is a sore spot with me. Donna J. Cruz

Donna, most retailers don't even recognize the CNMI as part of the U.S. Thanks for your comment.

Lil, I'll probably return it being the honest guy I am, if no one here wants it. I'll wait and see what transpires...
It is really a great little camera, I've been having fun with it, it does everything...

I gave up, well before the shipping phase, of any order coming to Saipan. If your billing address doens't meet the delivery address, you can add a lenghty phone call fee to your order. As far as ordering anything to be sent to Mongolia. Foggettaboutit.

My mom has managed several three week shipments to here from the "company" (as it is known in Maine) and we are happy with that. Our last shipment of syrup and pancake mix has been held up by the weather in southern China, but so it goes. Walmart? eh? We get stuff here, unacceptable by the big "W's" standards.

I'm learning a lot here and there is no way in hell I'll buy a Chinese produced product, once we all return to the land of the big PX. Chintzy bastards, is the preferred term, I believe. At least, Saipan is on the US market end of the production chain, the stuff they release for regional sale is just absolute garbage. I'm looking forward to the olympics to see their entire system be held up to the light and found to be crapulous.

Glen,

Im interested in your camera. I was going to hold out and get a fancy digital, but in the meantime I need something to take quick pics with. If we can meet up somewhere this week that would be great. Let me know via email at thunter@moylans.net or you can reach me at my office tomorrow.

Thanks!
