THE commonwealth’s long-term debt totaled $257 million as of Sept. 30, 2006, according to a report prepared by Crawford & Associates, P.C.
The report also shows that the CNMI government’s short-term cash position to settle its liabilities is .34 to 1. Which means that the CNMI only has 34 cents for every dollar it owes.
Does that sound like we had a balanced budget for the past two years? Not by any figment of the imagination could the budget be balanced.
So why does the governor say this shit? Does he think we are so ignorant? Does he think we believe his crap? Just shut the hell up with this and tell the truth... We are in a hole and the governor won't stop digging. This is so stupid. Balanced budget, my ass! How long does he think we will put up with this? Aren't you tired of this crap too?

It's gone well beyond the bounds of "creative accounting".. it is "fairy tale accounting".
But we will continue putting up with it. We will yelp and bitch and moan.. but unless the powers that be are taken to task on the balanced budget law, nothing will change.
Hell they can't even PASS a budget, yet alone balance one!
