As the new legislature was sworn in Monday everyone had that renewed warm bubbly feeling toward each other. Are we going to work together?” a beaming Hocog asked the senators. “The Senate will work with the House,” replied Reyes, smiling.... Well this won't last long, I guarantee it. This is just a facade and will evaporate even before the budget is passed. and if you want to see something go to hell faster than a speeding snowball, just watch, this will be the place. Just watch. It has only been 21 days since this prediction in post 910.
SENATOR Maria T. Pangelinan says there are five options in resolving the current deadlock over the selection of the new Legislative Bureau director. In a four-page memorandum yesterday to lawmakers, Pangelinan, D-Saipan, said the House and the Senate have yet to agree who to appoint. Pangelinan said in the current controversy, questions have been raised about “ethics, conflict of interest and nepotism.”She said the disagreement between the House and the Senate is “sadly, another round of political gamesmanship our government has earned a reputation for.” The situation, she added, “has escalated into a power struggle between the two houses. It defies the spirit of the statesmanship and brings to question the non-partisan nature of the LB services, to say nothing of how poorly it plays in the press.”
Well I be a son-of-a- gun, got another one right, didn't I? Well it's not hard to predict something like this so I'll stop blowing smoke up my own ass, you see this is not smart predicting at all, this is what always happens, so it is nothing new, a sure fire bet, and easy to predict...
Predict the idiots will fight, never bet against it!

What seems so wrong is, the Leg. Bureau should be non-partisan. It should be a tool to be utilized equally by all of the legislators.. but as is the usual here, everything is partisan.
