775- A SIGN OF THE TIMES

THIS PLACE IS BECOMING A CAN OF LOW CASTE WORMS
You are now treading on my and many others toes....
This really pisses me off...
When things get this low something must be done. What's next? Gravesites?
Caption to the picture: And then there were no lights. The spotlights that illuminate the flags at the American Memorial Park’s Court of Honor have been stolen, but authorities yesterday declined to talk about the incident.
THE flags at American Memorial Park’s Court of Honor can no longer be seen in the evening because the spotlights that illuminate them have been stolen, Variety learned on Wednesday. About 30 spotlights are missing. The 12 spotlights that are supposed to illuminate the park’s huge sign at the front entrance on Beach Road were missing, and all those surrounding the flags at the Court of Honor were dismantled. Darkness shrouded most portion of the park on Wednesday night. What a disgrace to all who fought and died here to get this lowest of low slap in the face.
Now 30 spotlights cannot be slipped into someones pocket, this is not shoplifting this a major theft. If the DPS and authorities don't want to talk about it I ask "why the hell not?" This is a national park, the country is disgraced and your response is to hide? No friggin comment? You should be outraged too, and say so, say the scumbags will be caught if it takes 24 hour duty. Say you will not rest until someone is held accountable for this but.. No comment, unacceptable! There better be some top of the line law enforcement efforts swinging into action to crush this and now! This is a national insult. These scumbags must swing by the balls, if they got any... Bastards anyway!

I think the word you are looking for is personal accountability, I probably spelled it incorrectly, but someone had to see the deed being done. Call it in, run and shout, blow your horn, flash lights, something. No need to spit in the soup or blast away with a dirty harry magnum, although, they would be two of my top picks.

I've seen drivers pulled out of their cars and pummeled about the face and head here, a little rough but it gets the job done.

Glen, the way I understand it is that this falls under the national parks jurisdiction so the park rangers are able to investigate this crime not dps. They're probably not commenting at this time because they've got an ongoing investigation they don't want to jeopardize. But if I know those guys..and I do..they'll get their man, and believe me they are just as offended as you and I are.

This place is full of uneducated, welfare ridden lowlifes. This is hardly a surprise.

Actually I only read the first few pieces, before the [fwd to glen} light came on over my monitor. Pretty good stuff, I need to get off the dime and write Red to thank him.

I’m working on a Mongolia recycles post, which sort of ties into the Saipan culture. I’ve seen auto tire rims tied to the wheels with everything from hose clamps to plastic ties here in UB. There aren’t many of those horrible plastic bags blowing around, the markets charge two cents to a nickel for them and they have a second life as rubbish bags. A day doesn’t pass without seeing someone collecting even plastic bottles, scraps of cloth, etc..

No speed bumps, however, the potholes, missing manhole covers etc.. more than make up for something so la ti da as a concrete hump. Whoops; shouldn’t mention the missing manhole covers, scrap metal dealers love those. Back to the point of your post; You would think on a small island, people would police each other a little and for example; not beat up everyones car on those damned bumps, just to keep speeds down on every friggin little road. Speed bumps as a cultural metaphor. Saipan shouldn’t need some much dps, but it actually could use four times as many feet on the street.

Should be easy to "spot".

glen,

AMP has always been a refuge for me and ive always thought of it as an example of how things SHOULD be run on this island. just think how beautiful this island would be if the rest of this island was administered the way AMP is!

And then they stole it..
Assholes!

Bryan, I'm not asking anyone to give details of their investigation. I just wanted to hear an assurance everything would be done to catch these crooks. I'm not asking if they have fingerprints or tire tracks or for details of the case. What they should is comment on their efforts to stop this travisty. This is not the first time things were stolen and nothing has been cleared on the earlier case either.

Why not ask the "good guy" wire thief that they caught. Being a "good guy" he certainly would help the police I would think.
