WHAT WILL THEY THINK OF NEXT, AND WHEN WILL WE GET SOMESAN FRANCISCO — Federal agents said Thursday that they shut down a factory that made marijuana-laced barbecue sauce, chocolate-covered pretzels and other "enhanced" snacks intended for medical users of the drug. Agents also seized 460 marijuana plants and other laced products including candy bars, cookies, marshmallow pies, ice cream, peanut butter, jelly, energy drinks and "Rice Krispy treats." Tainted Inc. was launched by Michael Martin, 33, of El Sobrante as a small operation that made laced chocolate truffles. When it was raided Wednesday, the company was shipping products to medical marijuana dispensaries throughout California and in Seattle, Vancouver, British Columbia, and Amsterdam. Laced snacks are often more potent and longer lasting than smoked marijuana.
Damn! missed out again, but I always thought the cookies, ice cream and other goodies were for 'after' the munchies hit, not before. Oh well.

I still don't get this... a State proposition voted for by a majority of eligible voters passes, but because the proposition violates federal law, the feds go in and bust places that are legalized by the state?
Maybe we can apply this principal to the CNMI Fed relations.
The feds are out of line with this issue and changes will eventually be made. The problem is, the feds were against weed so long and had launched such a distorted campaign against it it's hard for them to recant the message. In other words, to put it in their pipe and smoke it. Too many people have used it, like myself, that didn't become the screaming maniacs they predicted, so it will prevail someday. I never got the LSD flashbacks they promised either.
The CNMI is sitting on a golden egg here but never will recognize it. Now this is a whole new discussion, later.
I agree with you totally Glen. In addition to the wrong information they've run with for the last sixty years, they've also built such a huge infrastructure around keeping it illegal, that they basically have built a system of cheerleaders, lobbyists and "educators". Could you imagine how many tens of thousands of individuals would be out of a job if Marijuana was legalized?
