Biba Fiestan San Jose!
The 2007 Tinian San Jose Fiesta is finally here, with all the fun and enjoyment one has come to expect of the people of Tinian. The event honoring the island's patron saint, San Jose, is a signature and festive event for all the people of the Marianas. Booths serving delectable dishes, games for the kids, games of chance and more will be awaiting people when they join the festivities. There is entertainment and many activities planned for the event, with added sport activities. Be there for the signature Tinian-style “roasted cow,” prepared no better than the way the people of Tinian can bring it to you. Also, take a stroll at the new Kastiyu Wildlife Park. See exotic animals both indigenous and new to the island of Tinian. There will be a special ferry run from Saipan to Tinian on Friday, May 4, at 5pm, and the regular ferry schedule on Saturday at 5pm. On Sunday, the ferry will run from Tinian to Saipan at 7pm. So clear your calendars for May 3, 4, 5 and 6 from 10am to 12pm daily, and get ready to enjoy yourself. (PR)
