M37- CNMI TREATED DIFFERENTLY

AS QUESTIONED ON KSPN NEWS
If you watched the news tonight, KSPN questioned why the CNMI was out of the minimum wage freeze and American Samoa was not. The answer maybe hidden here in an anonymous comment, so lets see what that is and why...

POST M33 Here is the comment...

Here's a few things to think about.

1- The national Republican Party issued strict orders to all Republicans not to meet with Fitial or have their pictures taken with him, under penalty of being sanctioned, due to his toxic association with Jack Abramoff and Tom Delay.
2- The GOP also issued a directive that no Republican could oppose the CNMI takeover bill, again under penalty of sanctions, because any opposition to the bill would be seen as Republicans still doing Abramoff/Delay bidding, which could hurt the GOP in an election year.
3- The Military has suspended all plans for any military support on Tinian or prefabrication construction in the NMI, until Fitial is out of office, as punishment for his lobbying against the bill that would get the H workers needed for the base expansion.
4- The CNMI was stripped out of the bill to postpone any further minimum wage increases because Fitial is despised back in D.C.
Way to go Fitial, I guess I never mentioned that the folks in D.C. don't like you and that you were pissing them off. I guess I never mentioned that you might want to try to work with them instead of your bullheaded no, not, never stance. I guess I never mentioned that you won't accomplish anything with your block headed attitude, now did I? I guess they are smart enough not to buy your "it'll ruin the economy", babble when you don't even have an economy. I did hear you say you met the president but didn't get any pictures, now you know why.
Now you are wanting to run for a second term, how much ignorance do you think we can endure? A person with your incompetence should retire on the money you ripped off and let saner heads prevail. We have enjoyed as much of your bullshit as we can stand!
Good Night!

I like Fitial. He is a good leader. Honest and bright and loved by his people.

I will make the same comment I made a few days ago:

I would challenge the anonymous (of course) bloger you quoted to prove any one of the absurd contensions made in that post. Example: let's see that Republican National Party directive mandating sanctions.

Let's see the money trail proof from US cover over funds to Willy Tan's pocket.

Bullshit, pure bullshit. Typical anonymous bullshit.

Really Bruce. Bullshit? It may be totally fabricated.. who knows. But do the comments make sense? Sure they do. Are they more or less likely believable? Sure they are.

You sound a little anxious, by the way. Watch that blood pressure.

Nifty pic.

Bruce, In a broader view if all things possible without details, would you bet Fitial is well liked or dispised in D.C.? Place your bet here.__________ There will be no hints, you got to make this bet on 'gut' feelings only.
Do you want odds?

If any of this is true, it is one more compelling reason for the CNMI to remain as separate as possible from all federal laws and institutions.

I think that the CNMI is in a wait-and-see mode on the Jack Abramoff scandal. Let's see how that pans out in terms of the CNMI's involvement. The mess has already hit our neighboring island of Guam.

Now, this is something that really happen and no one in this blog can dispute this FACT.

Glenn

Your blog has lost reality, while we agree on a lot of things, sometimes you or some of your wackier readers overstep the mark. We need to get back to facts and just a little civility

My bet, Glen, is that the vast majority of US congress members and hangers on have never heard of this place or it's governor and could care less. Other than stayman and miller and a couple of others already bought and paid for, we don't even register on a filing clerk's radar screen. We, and our problems, real though they are to us, are essentially invisible in the overall picture there.

Cactus is exactly right...the farther we can distance ourselves from that quagmire the better off we will be.

It is laughable to believe those folks have the best interests of the CNMI at heart. Laughable.

*****

Yes, I believe 'bullshit' is the best description of trash like that pulled from the air with not even an attempt at documentation, and of course delivered by the oh-so-believable Mr. Anonymous.

Yep, bullshit.

Show me the slightest bit of corroboratable evidence and I will be the first to eat my words. Until and unless,....trash can.

Bruce, of course you realize I threw this out as an anonymous comment, only suggesting this might be the reason for the CNMI and A.Samoa being treated differently in respect to the wage freeze. It made sense to my way of reasoning.
May I suggest, however, that you offer what your thoughts on why the different treatment and what caused it? I'd be interested to hear your point of view.. Anyone else too, for that matter, this is open for all ideas and discussions.

American Samoa got drug into this thing by accident. Stayman, in his quest to fuck over the CNMI started the federalization craze...again for the umteenth time and enlists (read pays off) Cohen, to help . A (probably paid) apologist in America notices that AMS is treated differently in this bill and tries to make that a reason to slack off on the CNMI. Instead, the deal backfires on AMS citizen Cohen, much to his dismay and they include AMS instead of excluding CNMI. Oops, best laid plans, etc.

Now over the next year and 3 separate versions of the rip off legislation, they finally get the deal cut to keep the screws to the CNMI and back off AMS so Cohen can go home and get his kowtows instead of a shiv in the back.

The treatment was never meant to be equal, Glen, they just got caught with their hand in the cookie jar and had to back off for a while in order to retrench and recut the deal to shield AMS and stick it to the CNMI as originally planned.

That's my take on it. I have as much evidence for this theory as Mr. nony has for his ...none. The difference is I put my name to it while SFB anonymous hides like a snake in the dung heap. I claim only that it is an opinion, a reasoned possibility, not necessarily fact.

PS: I still haven't seen the original nony show up with anything like an explanation. What a surprise. Did I mention the word bullshit?

Lil' Hammerhead said...

I would challenge you to prove any one of the absurd contensions made in that comment. Example: let's see that memo or correspondence that details a deal cut to take pressure off of Cohen in AMS.

So your name's on it.. what's the difference.

Well, here's the difference.. the "anonymous" comments make more sense.

;}

Bullshit is bullshit.. whether it comes from known or unknown sources. In Pork's case.. you can pretty much guarantee, it's more likely than not, going to be one sweet-smelling menure pile.

Bruce, A theory unto itself, will we ever know the real reason?

Bruce A. Bateman said...

The difference, for those of you, like fat knucklehead, not smart enough to figure it out is that it was proposed as a theory, not avered as fact as was the case with the, of course, anonymous shit head quoted earlier.

Go back and read the post, and get yourself some remedial comprehension skills training, knucklehead.

Bruce A. Bateman said...

Glen, no we probably won't know the why. We will only take the shaft and lowest tier of untrained employees will suffer the consequences.

The bleeding heart pundits will gloss over that tidbit.

Lil' Hammerhead said...

We don't need to "gloss over" something that is patently false.
