932- UP IN SMOKE

HERE IS A GRAND IDEA
LOS ANGELES — The city that popularized the fast food drive-thru has a new innovation: 24-hour medical marijuana vending machines. Patients suffering from chronic pain, loss of appetite and other ailments that marijuana is said to alleviate can get their pot with a dose of convenience at the Herbal Nutrition Center, where a large machine will dole out the drug around the clock. "Convenient access, lower prices, safety, anonymity," inventor and owner Vincent Mehdizadeh said, extolling the benefits of the machine.
I wonder if they could do a thing like this here. I know there would be a lot of money to be made. A 12 month growing season with a 12 month tourist industry. Goes together like a bug in a rug!
I can see the MVA ad's now 'MARIJUANA LEGAL IN THE CNMI'.. Visitors would come from near and far. Planes would be filled to capacity and hotels would be filled to 110% occupancy. Restaurants would have business 24 hours a day as the 'munchies' strike the tokers and the government would roll in the dough.
This is not an impossible dream in reality but a dream made impossible by narrow minded people... Pleasent dreams!

Even when I was a ute.. I wasn't big on smoking. I think the ban on MJ is hypocritical. Alcohol is far worse. MJ should be legalized here and promoted.. we could be the Denmark of the Asia/Pacific region.

I wonder why the CNMI never had a friggin Rum distillery here? I mean at one point the Marianas was full of sugar cane. Before you start on how alcohol is the scourge of society, that never stopped the CNMI from importing and imbibing record amounts of Budweiser per capita.

Legalize it. If the Governor can lift a ban on alcohol sales after 2am on New Years then surely he can tolerate the Marianas Hempfest I'm thinking of organizing next year.
