895- A 2x4 UPSIDE THE HEAD

BRING OUT THE 2x4 AND SLAM THESE JACKASSES UPSIDE THE HEAD
Just what are they thinking? Read this...
Another go at Saipan gaming:
Lawmakers are
giving the Saipan gaming proposal another try, this time submitting it as a local measure. Outgoing Rep. Jesus SN. Lizama has pre-filed House Local Bill 15-78, seeking to legalize certain gaming activities on Saipan. The proposed legislation is virtually identical to the bill that the Senate killed last month.
Can you believe this? What will it take to make these numbnuts realize the people don't want gaming on Saipan now! Don't they hear what is being said, voted on and turned down time after time. These idiots should be jacked upside the head for ignorance.
There's an old story about a jackass that goes like this...
A young man who was about to start farming a few acres of ground decided he needed a mule to pull his plow. After searching for a few weeks he came upon an old farmer, about to retire, who had his mule for sale. Upon questioning the old farmer as to how to get the mule to work the old farmer replied, "All you have to do is order him to 'git-up' and he'll plow all day." Well the young man was exited and purchased the mule and took him home. Early the next morning the young man, anxious to get his field plowed, hitched up the mule took him to the field and ordered the mule to 'git-up'! The mule didn't move. Again he shouted 'git-up' still the mule didn't move. Frustrated the young man went to the old farmer to complain, so the old farmer said, "I'll come and show you how to do it." When they got to the mule still hitched to the plow the farmer grabbed a 6' 2x4 and slugged the mule as hard as he could upside the head and said 'git-up', the mule immediately took off the plow turning the soil at a steady clip. Amazed the young man ask the old farmer, "why did you do that?" To which the old farmer replied, "son you have to get his attention first, then he'll listen."
This seems to be the method we need to use to get the attention of our legislators to make them understand what we're saying. A slam upside the head with a 2x4....

Surprised? The modus operandi up on the hill has become sleazy beyond belief. A co-worker of mine that grew up w/ one of the P3 reps is disgusted that whenever he questions his old friend about the shenanigans, the reply often begins with "you just don't understand...." He's right. People don't understand how their friends, when once elected, can become so shallow, low on morality and self-serving. It's unfortunate that bad memories seem forgotten come election time.

I have no problem with gaming Glen. The problem I have is with the way they are bypassing the people in order to facilitate it. Write a good and fair initiative, put people out their who will speak to the details of the initiative and bring it to the next election.

All I know is that nothing appears as it seems - especially here. If the "people" don't understand, then it is the Legislators job to explain the reasons for the gambling initiative. However, I believe it is all part of a plot to manipulate and hold the island's economy (including CUC) to a subsistence level in order for the "future rich" (= Legislators and special interest groups)to pass any economically positive law (including gambling) with very little resistance.

There's got to be more going on here.

It is all about 2009...many political gurus and wannabes need jobs between now and 2009. This is how they are hired.

Ask the incoming leadership what they did about this when their names reappear on the ballot in 2009.

Again, it is all about 2009 and the taxpayers are paying for the self-serving political ambitions of many who cannot get real jobs in the real world.

Did anyone catch Oscar Babauta on the evening news the first time the house passed this bill? Explaining why he voted for it.

It was hilarious to watch him squirm and he responded like a school child would respond to a question by a teacher... thinking of his answers while he stammered and squirmed.

Oscar is a seasoned professional money grubber... er.. Politician I mean, having been in the legislature forever. And it takes a lot to get him speechless but that question from the reporter sure did it.
