494- CUC, MANAGEMENT

CUC.. JUST WHY THE HELL CAN'T YOU GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER AND OPERATE THE POWER COMPANY LIKE A REAL BUSINESS?
You are making all different kinds of rules and rates for everyone. Residential customers get this rate plus xxxx costs, commercial customers get this rate plus xxxx costs, government gets this rate plus xxxx costs, non conforming customers get this rate plus xxxx costs etc. Next the 'do little' legislature is trying to change the numbers to get the politicians re-elected this year and every other idiot who wants to get his name in the paper is squealing about the rates and offering their own suggested rates. A business operates this simple way ...What does it cost to produce the product, what are the total expenses and what profit do you want to make. You then get a cost structure to establish a billing rate. Its very simple. CUC you sell KWH's they all cost the same to produce, so every one who uses 1 KWH should pay the cost of 1 KWH. There isn't any difference if it goes to a school, a poker room, a government office or a hot water heater in a residence. They are all the same. They all cost you the same to produce no matter where they are used. Therefore they should all cost the same to use. What the hell is so complicated about this? Next you get the silly government throwing out numbers, everyone grabbing a favorite number out of the air with no idea as to what the real cost to produce a KWH really is, no friggin clue, not even CUC has that answer. Lets just swing in the dark and hope we hit something. Is this any way to run a utility company, on total guesstimating?
A simple ass formula... Cost to produce and deliver 1 KWH = $
Therefore 1 KWH should be billed @ 1 $, .... 10 KWH's should be billed @ 10 $. etc..... Across the board.
This is very simple shit why can't you all get it? Just look as this mess....Under the bill's latest version, residential customers will no longer be charged any non-fuel rates for the first 1,000 kwh of power consumed. They will only have to pay the electric fuel rate, which will be pegged at 17.6 cents per kwh initially. The electric fuel rate may fluctuate depending on the actual cost of fuel. However, the bill punishes consumers who do not save electricity. They will pay a non-fuel rate of 44 cents per kwh, plus the variable electric fuel rate of 17.6 cent per kwh.
The flat monthly customer charge, currently at $7.67, will be cut down to $3.50.
The original bill's provisions for business and government customers, as well as non-conforming load, have been deleted......
What the hell does this mumble jumble mean, "Consumers who don't save power get punished"??? Are there power saving police? I'll tell you what it means...They don't have a friggin clue as to what they are doing! Lost in a fog, brain dead, babbling idiots and we are paying out the ass for this... And still have daily power outages! Next it will be rejected by the governor and they will all be left standing there with their thumbs up their asses, wondering what to do next! I'm tired, ask any questions you may have under comments. Good night! .....GED.....

493- THE END OF AN ERA

WHY IS THE GOVERNOR SO BITTER, VINDICTIVE, PISSED-OFF AND GENERALLY LOSING HIS COMPOSURE?
Well I'm gonna try to tell you why. What he sees is an end to the 'good ole boys era' no longer can they bully everything to go their way. He is pissed off because the minimum wage was raised, giving his favorite buddy's, the garment industry a shock, so he says, but it was really NAFTA that ruined them, had nothing to do with the minimum wages. (Now his point of view) Now, damn it, they are gonna take over labor and immigration too, This will really set me back on making my under-the-table deals with investors, cuts me off to do things the way I wanna do 'um. Then there is the 'people' getting tired of my bullshit, that I can't control any more. People like Tina Sablan are getting in the way of my control, telling the 'people' there different choices and different ways, different then mine. My good ole boys club is not in my control anymore. The Covenant party is dissolving right under my nose. Now I'm really pissed, goddamn David Cohen is getting in my way too. Why is he here, stupid guy is stepping on my toes. And those 'illegal aliens,' all 500 of 'um need to be deported, those assholes are getting in my way too. When I go to the hearings with the U.S. Congress I will revert back to the good old way of campaigning. Talk really loud, shout, demand things be given to me and act like an idiot. Boy, if I could only place about 1000 signs along every road coming to this place, everyone would then know who I am, and who is in charge. Poor old me, guess I'll cease to exist. Goddamn it. ....GED....

492- IT ALWAYS HAPPENS

DON'T YOU JUST HATE IT WHEN THESE THINGS HAPPEN TO YOU? YET THEY SEEM TO OCCUR OVER AND OVER AGAIN.
A short list of some of the everyday annoyances that happen from time to time and you just hate it each time it occurs. Here goes, how many of these can you relate to?.....
You have to try on a pair of sunglasses with that stupid little plastic thing in the middle of them.
The elevator stops on every floor and nobody gets on.
There's always a car riding your tail when you're slowing down to find an address.
You open a can of soup, and the lid falls in.
It's bad enough that you step in dog poop, but you don't realize it till you walk across your living room rug.
You can never put anything back in a box the way it came.
You drink from a soda can into which someone has extinguished a cigarette.
You slice your tongue licking an envelope.
You wash a garment with a tissue in the pocket and your entire laundry comes out covered with lint.
The car behind you blasts its horn because you let a pedestrian finish crossing.
The radio station doesn't tell you who sang that song.
People behind you on a supermarket line dash ahead of you to a counter just opening up.
You can't look up the correct spelling of a word in the dictionary because you don't know how to spell it.
You have to inform five different sales people in the same store that you're just browsing.
You had that pen in your hand only a second ago, and now you can't find it.
You reach under the table to pick something off the floor and smash your head on the way up.
Do you have any little pet peeves that you just hate? Click on comments and let me know just what they are. .....GED.....

491- MORE THEFTS

ONCE AGAIN THIEVES APPARENTLY WITH NO REGARD FOR OTHERS PROPERTY AND NO CONCERN ABOUT GETTING CAUGHT ARE RUNNING UNABATED
And this time the things they are getting their hands on are really big. $400,000.00 dollars worth of copper wire?, if they can get that off the island they should be complimented for being way ahead of the law. Well I'm going with the law these idiots will get caught...and when they do they must be punished, judge, sock it to 'um, when these guys hit your court send a message that this island is goddamn tired of this shit. Enough already. No more suspended sentence and community service...hard time, the new jail is now getting ready to finally open so give it some customers....Partial story here...Copper wire thieves hit La Fiesta and American Memorial Park. COPPER wire thieves stole an estimated $400,000 worth of copper wire and aluminum conduits from the former La Fiesta Mall in San Roque, leaving the Department of Public Works field office there without power. This, according to the Department of Public Safety, is the biggest copper wire theft since these cases became rampant late last year. Six cables with diameters as thick as a coffee mug and containing four 500 millimeter cables inside, hundreds of yards long, were cut from the main power supply. Smaller cables were also stolen and insulators were dumped like spaghetti noodles in the hallways on the ground floor and second floor. “We freaked out when we saw what’s left,” Guerrero said. .... American Memorial Park authorities are also investigating the disappearance of $4,500 worth of stainless steel cable which they believe was stolen from the north side of the park fronting Outer Cove Marina. 489- A FOOT IN THE MOUTH

OUR GOVERNOR OPENS MOUTH AND INSERTS FOOT
The governor seems to have become a bitter, desperate person, insulting and pissing off everyone in his presence. This was surely a bad time, in front of the congressional delegation to express his disgruntled thoughts. How much more hopeless and vindictive can he get? The women he insulted with his off the cuff remarks don't even want to talk about it, wow, that should put him in their good graces. Here are some of his stupid comments.... GOVERNOR Benigno R. Fitial yesterday said the alien workers who held a rally in support of federalization are “illegals” whom he will deport. The governor made the statement after Congressman Eli Faleomavaega, D-American Samoa, asked how the CNMI government intends to handle the alien workers he saw outside the Guma Hustisia on his way to yesterday’s hearing on the federalization bill. “They are illegals,” said the governor. “We’re processing them and they will soon be deported. They deliberately destroyed their passports.” Congresswoman Madeleine Bordallo, D-Guam, said they spoke with the governor on the issue but “I can’t really comment on what the governor said (about the workers who held the rally.) But…if they are illegals how can they hold an open protest?,” she said. “But this is one part of this whole operation that must be looked at very carefully. And you’ve had so many problems over the years,” she added. Congresswoman Donna Christensen, was also surprised at the governor’s statement. “I prefer not to comment,” she said when asked about the subject. Way to go guv. A hero again. The whole story CLICK HERE .. I just can't understand this behavior but the guy must be really depressed, there should be someone to take over and end this childishness... These statements have been the most powerful of all things said and done today for confirming the need of federal control over labor and immigration, negating all of his blubbering against it.....
( As predicted in post #487.) Enough already. ....GED......

487- PREDICTIONS TODAY

MY PREDICTIONS AS TO HOW THE TESTIMONIES WILL GO DOWN AT THE IMMIGRATION BILL HEARINGS TODAY, AS BEING HEARD BY REP. DONNA CHRISTENSEN

1. OIA Rep. David Cohen- Will be articulate, know what his facts are and will have research to back his statements up. Will be professional and efficient.
2- Gov. Ben Fitial- Will ramble on about how federalization will hurt the already trashed economy, how it will cause him to 'not exist' and ram bullheaded against everything taking place. No one will take him seriously. Will look foolish.
3- CoC Pres. Juan Pan Guerrero- Will become tongue tied and make no sense at all as to what he might be trying to say. Will be sweating.
4- D.C. Rep. Pete Tenorio- Will show there is at least one clear head in the CNMI government and be listened to with respect. Will have positive input.
5- Speaker Babauta and Senator Reyes- Will just try not to look foolish and keep their asses covered, won't have anything important to contribute. Will wish Fitial wasn't making them look like idiots.
6- Tina Sablan- Will have a presentation better prepared than anyone else. Will be cool, calm and collect.
7 -TaotaoTano, Greg Cruz- Will wish he wasn't there at all and will be very brief. Will look dazed and confused.
8- Dekada Group- Will have a bleeding heart but won't have much effect, as the overall topic is not really about their direct cause. Will be heard though.
Anyone else that I can't think of are, obviously not important.
So there you have it, and hearings are about to start @ 9:00 A.M.
P.S. Note the time posted. ........GED.......

486- SERIOUS RESEARCH

RESEARCH HAS BEEN DONE TO BRING TO A CONCLUSION THE QUESTION OF A VERY SERIOUS MATTER
The question in hand was this, Why is the head of a mans penis larger then the shaft? Well the research has been concluded and we now have the reports, right here. THE ACTUAL LABORATORY (Shown here) IS WHERE THIS GROUND BREAKING RESEARCH TOOK PLACE.....As you can see we used the most modern of labs to conduct these news making experiments. Not a cent was spared to conduct this most important testing to assert the most conclusive conclusions. HERE ARE THE TESTS AND THE RESULTS: Several years ago, Great Britain funded a study to determine why the head on a mans' penis is larger than the shaft. The study took two years and cost over €1.2 million. The study concluded that the reason the head of a man's penis is larger than the shaft was to provide the man with more pleasure during sex. .... After the results were published, France decided to conduct their own study on the same subject. They were convinced that the results of the British study was incorrect. After three years of research at a cost of in excess of €2 million, the French researchers concluded that the head of a man's penis is larger than the shaft to provide the woman with more pleasure during sex. .... When the results of the French study were released, Ireland decided to conduct their own study. The Irish didn't really trust British or French studies. So, after nearly three hours of intensive research and a cost of right around €75.00 ( 3 bottles of whiskey), the Irish study was complete. They concluded that the reason the head on a man's penis is larger than the shaft is to prevent his hand from flying off and hitting himself on the forehead!.... As you can see this is something all men should know, and now we do... .....GED.....

YOU WILL DRINK YOUR BEER RIGHT HERE
Honey, so you want to go to the bar, just what the hell is wrong with what I have right here? This is happening way to soon for this poor guy, I can't imagine his life in two years. This doesn't happen to you, does it? Here's the story......This couple has only been married for two weeks. The husband, although very much in love, can't wait to go out into town and party with his old buddies. He says to his new wife, "Honey, I'll be right back..."
"Where are you going coochy coo...?" asked the wife. "I'm going to the bar, pretty face. I'm going to have a beer. "The wife says to him, "You want a beer, my love?" Then she opens the door to the refrigerator and shows him 25 different kinds of beer brands from 12 different countries: Germany, Holland, Japan, India, etc. The husband doesn't know what to do, and the only thing that he can think of saying is, "Yes, loolie loolie... but the bar... you know... the frozen glass..." He doesn't get to finish the sentence, when the wife interrupts him by saying, "You want a frozen glass, puppy face? "She takes a huge beer mug out of the freezer so frozen that she is getting the chills holding it. The husband, looking a bit pale, says, "Yes, tootsie roll, but at the bar they have those hors d'oeuvres that are really delicious... I won't be long. I'll be right back. I promise. OK?" "You want hors d'oeuvres, poochi pooh?" She opens the oven and takes out 15 dishes of different hors d'oeuvres: buffalo wings, nachos, mushroom caps, chicken strips, etc. "But sweet honey... at the bar... you know... the swearing, the dirty words and all that...""You want dirty words, cutie pie?... DRINK YOUR FUCXING BEER IN YOUR FROZEN FUCXING MUG AND EAT YOUR FUCXING DAMN SNACKS, BECAUSE YOU AREN'T GOING ANY FUCXINGWHERE!! GOT IT ASSHOLE?!!"

481- BBQ GRILLS

THE GREAT AMERICAN PASTIME, USING YOUR FAVORITE GRILLE
However, this time I think this one won't be used, at least not tonight. Stoking that big mama up and getting it all heated may not be worth it this time. .....A husband and his wife who have been married 20 years were doing some yard work. The man was working hard cleaning the BBQ grill while his wife was bending over, weeding flowers from the flower bed. So the man says to his wife, "Honey, your rear end is almost as wide as this grill." She ignores the remark. A little later, the husband takes his measuring tape and measures the grill, then he goes over to his wife while she is bending over, measures her rear end and gasps, "Geez, it really IS as wide as the grill!" She ignores this remark as well.
Later that night while in bed, her husband starts to feel frisky. The wife calmly responds, "If you think I'm gonna fire up the grill for one little wiener, you are sadly mistaken."........So guys if your wife/girl has an ass as wide as your new super duper grille...Don't say so, at least not to her. Very embarrassed she looks around nervously to see if anyone has noticed her 'little accident' and hopes a sales person does not pop up right now. As she turns back, there standing next to her is a salesman. "Good day Ma'am, how may we help you today?" Very uncomfortably she asks, "How much does this rug cost?" 479- IT'S BAAACK - THE NFL

I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S THAT TIME AGAIN

But hooray life is interesting again. Tonight I flicked through the channels and there it was, a pro NFL football game. The audio was in and out, static and hard to hear, the picture was a lot of pixels, but what the heck, the season has started. now if we can only get the local TV station to produce some quality audio and video we're in pigskin heaven. This season I'm going to root for the New Orleans Saints, not saying they will go to the Super Bowl, but being the team I will root for. I used to be a huge Miami Dolphins fan while I lived in Florida and they will always be my favorites but this year I'm rooting Saints. I like underdogs with a chance and that is what I think the Saints are this year. Let me know, any of you football freaks out there, who your favorites are, and as the season goes along maybe we can swap a few beers on some of the games. How about it?

They sit down and the friend says "You know Nora, you have the greatest breasts I have ever seen. I'd give you a hundred bucks if I could just see one." Nora thinks about this for a second and figures what the hell - a hundred bucks. She opens her robe and shows one. He promptly thanks her and throws a hundred bucks on the table. They sit there a while longer and Chris says "They are so beautiful I've got to see the both of them. I'll give you another hundred bucks if I could just see the both of them together." Nora thinks about this and thinks what the hell, opens her robe, and gives Chris a nice long look. Chris thanks her, throws another hundred bucks on the table, and then says he can't wait any longer and leaves. A while later Tony arrives home and his wife says "You know, your weird friend Chris came over today." Tony thinks about this for a second and says "Well did he drop off the $200 bucks he owes me?" The perception of a visitor, (and MVA wonders why more don't come.) Friday, August 10, 2007. Vacation on Saipan: "I have just spent the past month here on Saipan taking a little vacation time, playing some golf and visiting old friends. I have to say that this is the saddest and ugliest I have ever seen this island and I used to live here for about 13 years starting in 1991. I now live in what is considered a third world country and I can honestly say that the quality of life there is much better than here." " When I first came here Saipan was truly a paradise but today as I drive around the island all I see are big, empty, ugly, rundown buildings, markets and shops with hideous looking signs, and pawnshops galore."
Good luck CNMI, you're going to need it.

via e-mail....... MIKES WHOLE LETTER HERE .. A MUST READ!
It seems to be the consensus of the people of Saipan that this is a pristine beautiful place, but these are the people that haven't been anywhere that is pristine and beautiful. Why do you think the tourism business is so slow? It is not because of the airline seats, its because people go home with the same impression as the writer of the above letter to the editor of the local newspaper. Now before you all get your bowels in an uproar, remember this is not me condemning Saipan, its about the people that don't come here anymore, and I am only the messenger telling you about the problem. To quote an old worn out adage "You have to recognize you have a problem before you can start to fix it". Saipan isn't a nice place to visit, if you have followed my posts I talk about this over and over again. I call out the red flagged beaches, the trash practically everywhere, graffiti and run down tourist sites, the abusive treatment of the tourists and well, I could continue but won't. Who is going to listen to this message and stop wringing their hands, crying crocodile tears and wailing out, Oh! Lord, why aren't they coming. You have now been informed, again!

He could watch the ball for you," Tracy pointed out. The next day Jack teed off with Scott looking on. Jack swung and the ball disappeared down the middle of the fairway. "Did you see where it went?" asked Jack. "Yup, sure did" Scott answered. "Well, where is it?" yelled Jack, peering off into the distance. Scott thinks for a second then replies, "I can't remember." 475- PRETTY DARN GOOD

ARE WE GOING TO START HEARING THIS AGAIN ALONG WITH BETTER TIMES ARE HERE?
Our governor must be getting senile, has lost his mind, is in an early stage of Alzheimer's or is simply nuts. We so desperately need a sound mind running our government in these critical days of trying to pull our asses outta the deep hole we have already dug. But this governor can't see the forest for the trees, cannot fathom the fact changes are coming whether he likes it or not. He can either participate in the process or cry, take his sorry self and, as he says himself, "cease to exist." Do any of these following remarks make good sense to anyone? Here is his rhetoric.....
I have known Pete A. Tenorio for most of our lives. But I disagree-strongly disagree-with his views about the pending immigration and labor legislation in Congress affecting the Commonwealth. I believe this legislation will cause serious harm to the Commonwealth's economy and its citizens. I will continue to oppose this legislation. True, most of the subjects he listed in his February testimony are discussed in the legislation. But-and this is critical-in all instances it will be federal officials-some deputy assistant secretary or group of even lower officials -who will make the final decisions! I have lived too long to trust any federal government officials with the unqualified powers given them under this legislation. Why don't you just piss them off while you're at it, that'll help your cause. In fact, our current immigration controls meet or beat any U.S. benchmarks arising out of the U.S. immigration program, and our current guest worker program meets or beats any U.S. benchmarks arising out of federal protections for guest workers in the U.S. We can learn from prior mistakes, and we have. We are a competent people. We are doing better now than we have in the past, and we'll do even better (times) in the days to come. Someone, pleaseeeeee change his diaper! Its fulla shit already!
Gov. Benigno R. Fitial says the U.S. Congress must grant the CNMI a non-voting delegate in the House of Representatives before acting on critical legislation such as one placing local immigration under federal control. ..Dear Governor: The U.S. government does not need to grant a non voting delegate, There isn't anything they 'must' do. He will assert that the labor and immigration system currently in place in the Commonwealth is working, and that H.R. 3079 would jeopardize local efforts to revive the economy. Blind as a bat, I just can't see the part about this present system is working. Are we indeed in two different places? Say I'm on Saipan and you are in La-La Land? Just what part of this economy is being revitalized? CUC? Fitial will reiterate his call for an economic impact study to be conducted by the U.S. Government Accountability Office before enactment of H.R. 3079, which is identical to Senate Bill 1634 with respect to immigration and labor provisions. Save your time and money doing studies, I can tell you for free, and do it right here and now. Its not working, its as simple as that! Just open your eyes and look around, just what do you see that is working? Well I'm not going into all the problems we have here, this message would get to long. Yup, .....Better Times are all around us, things are "Pretty Darn Good." Where did we hear that bullshit before? (see post #464)

474- A GOOD CATCH?

METS FAN COULD FACE BIG TAX BILL OVER BONDS' HOME RUN BALL

Maybe this wasn't a good catch after all, see following story...... SAN FRANCISCO (AP) -- Before he celebrates his windfall, the New York Mets fan who emerged from a violent scrum clutching Barry Bonds' record-setting home run ball should probably call his accountant. As soon as 21-year-old Matt Murphy snagged the valuable piece of sports history Tuesday night, his souvenir became taxable income in the eyes of the Internal Revenue Service, according to experts. "It's an expensive catch," said John Barrie, a tax lawyer with Bryan Cave LLP in New York who grew up watching the Giants play at Candlestick Park. "Once he took possession of the ball and it was his ball, it was income to him based on its value as of yesterday." By most estimates, the ball that put Bonds atop the list of all-time home run hitters with 756 would sell in the half-million dollar range on the open market or at auction. That would instantly put Murphy, a college student from Queens, in the highest tax bracket for individual income, where he would face a tax rate of about 35 percent, or about $210,000 on a $600,000 ball. Even if he does not sell the ball, Murphy would still owe the taxes based on a reasonable estimate of its value, according to Barrie. Capital gains taxes also could be levied in the future as the ball gains value, he said. On the other hand, he said, if the ongoing federal investigation into steroid abuse among professional athletes takes a criminal turn for Bonds, the ball's value could go down -- which would likely allow Murphy to claim a loss. Murphy, what an appropriate name to catch this ball, kinda like Murphy's law, If something can go wrong, it will.

473- A STRAY PUSSY CAT

IT ALWAYS PAYS TO BE KIND TO STRAY ANIMALS
Being kind of heart to lost and misplaced animals can have its rewards, but don't let it be taken out of context as this short little anecdote will show.....Stray Pussy: One hot July day we found this old straggly cat at our door. She was a sorry site. Starving, dirty, smelled terrible, skinny and hair all matted down. We felt sorry for her, and put her in a carrier and took her to the Vet. She had no name so we named her Pussy Cat. The Vet decided to keep her for a day or so and said he would let us know when we could come and get her. My husband, the complainer said "OK, but don't forget to wash her, she stinks." My husband and my Vet don't see eye to eye. He calls my hubby El Cheap-O, and my hubby calls him El Take-O. The next day hubby had an appointment with his Doctor, which is located next door to the Vet. The Doctor's office was full of people waiting to see the Doctor. The door opened and in popped the vet and announces to my hubby, "Your wife's pussy is finally shaved and clean. She has no diseases, is free of fleas and crabs and she now smells like a rose. And by the way, I think she may be pregnant, but I can't tell how many babies there are!" With that he closed the door.... Yup, try to explain that conversation to 20 some odd people who are now gaping at you in disbelief not even believing their own ears. You may start explaining like this...Now ya'll ain't gonna believe this shit........but..

472- LAWYERS

CLEVER LAWYERS SOMETIMES OUTSMART THEMSELVES
Read the following true news story to confirm this fact.....TRUE news story. NOT a joke. A lawyer in Charlotte, NC purchased a box of very rare and expensive cigars, then insured them against fire among other things. Within a month, having smoked his entire stockpile of these great cigars and without yet having made even his first premium payment on the policy, the lawyer filed a claim with the insurance company. In his claim, the lawyer stated the cigars were lost "in a series of small fires." The insurance company refused to pay, citing the obvious reason: that the man had consumed the cigars in the normal fashion. The lawyer sued....and won! In delivering the ruling the judge agreed with the insurance company that the claim was frivolous. The judge stated nevertheless, that the lawyer held a policy from the company in which it had warranted that the cigars were insurable and also guaranteed that it would insure them against fire, without defining what is considered to be "unacceptable fire," and was obligated to pay the claim. Rather than endure lengthy and costly appeal process, the insurance company accepted the ruling and paid $15,000.00 to the lawyer for his loss of the rare cigars lost in the "fires." But... After the lawyer cashed the check, the insurance company had him arrested on 24 counts of ARSON! With his own insurance claim and testimony from the previous case used against him, the lawyer was convicted of intentionally burning his insured property and was sentenced to 24 months in jail and a $24,000.00 fine...... So there you have the whole shebang and caboodle. .....GED......

471- BABE RUTH

HISTORY WOULD BE INCOMPLETE WITHOUT THE BABE RUTH STORY TOO
First Babe Ruth then Hank Aaron and finally Barry Bonds, the story wouldn't be complete unless all were included. We have visited Aaron and Bonds so here is the Ruth story.... George Herman Ruth, Jr. (February 6, 1895 – August 16, 1948), also known as "Babe", "The Great Bambino", "The Sultan of Swat", "The King of Crash" and "The Colossus of Clout", was an American Major League baseball player from 1914-1935. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest baseball players in history. Many polls place him as the number one player of all time[citation needed].
Although he spent most of his career as an outfielder with the New York Yankees, Ruth began his career as a successful starting pitcher for the Boston Red Sox. He compiled a 89-46 win-loss record during his time with the Red Sox and set several World Series pitching records. In 1918 Ruth started to play in the outfield and at first base so he could help the team on a day-to-day basis as a hitter. In 1919, he appeared in 111 games as an outfielder. He also hit 29 home runs to break Ned Williamson's record for most home runs in a single season.
In 1920, Red Sox owner Harry Frazee sold Ruth to the New York Yankees. In his next 15 seasons in New York, Ruth led the league or placed in the top ten in batting average, slugging percentage, runs, total bases, home runs, RBI, and walks several times. Ruth's 60 home runs in 1927 was the single season home run record for 34 years until it was broken by Roger Maris. Ruth's lifetime total of 714 home runs was once considered one of Major League Baseball's "unbreakable" records, but Hank Aaron broke it in 1974 (755 home runs) and Barry Bonds broke Aaron's record in 2007 (756 and still counting.) In contrast, after he was traded from the Red Sox, the Red Sox franchise floundered for decades after having been previously the most successful Major League team prior to the trade. This great disparity of success between the Yankees and Red Sox eventually led to a superstition that was dubbed the "Curse of the Bambino", a "curse" that effectively ended when the Red Sox won the World Series in 2004, their first World Series title in 86 years. Now you know the rest of the story and all the story. .....GED.....

470- HANK AARON

DO YOU REMEMBER HAMMERIN' HANK
Here is a small peek in on his-story. Many people argue that Hank Aaron is the best to ever play baseball. Those people base their argument on one statistic, 755 career home runs. Aaron, however, was not your prototypical power hitter. He never consistently hit 500 foot home runs nor did he consistently win home run titles. In fact, Hammerin' Hank never hit more than 47 home runs in any one season. The key to Aaron was consistency. He was able to stay relatively injury-free and average 30 home runs over his 23 season career. But Aaron was much more than just a power hitter. He was the first person in baseball history to collect 3,000 hits and hit 500 home runs. He was also quite adept in the field, having won four Gold Glove awards. So there you go. ......GED.....
